1. I have a document in English to be officially used in Turkey. How can I get it legalized?
You have two ways to get your translated document legalized. You can get an Apostille OR you can get the Turkish Consulate approval for the state or a Federal Agency. 2. Does the Turkish Consulate approve the content of the translated document?
No. Neither Turkish Consulate nor Secretary of State approve or disapprove the content of the translated document as to be truthful and accurate. Turkish Consulate approves that the stamp on the document is official and originated in the U.S. The Turkish Consulate prepares a cover page with an exclusion remarks stating that the content of the translation is not reviewed. You may see it on the cover page as it states “Metne şamil degildir” in Turkish.
